Planned Giving
Esto Perpetua – She will be everlasting.
Our school motto is an appropriate name for the Chatham Hall planned giving society: Esto Perpetua.
The Esto Perpetua Society was created for individuals who have included the school in their estate plans.Founded in 1996 as an honorary society, Esto Perpetua currently has more than 100 members.
One the easiest ways to become a member of Esto Perpetua – and to benefit Chatham Hall – is to establish a bequest in your will or living trust.Through a bequest you can transfer the ownership of such assets as cash, securities, a home, an IRA or other property to the school. Naming Chatham Hall as a beneficiary on your life insurance policy is another simple way of making a bequest to the school.
Estate plans may include giving through such methods as wills, trusts, pooled income funds, real estate, life insurance, and retirement plans.
When including a provision for Chatham Hall in your will or living trust, or when naming the school as a beneficiary on a life insurance policy, use the school’s full legal name and address.(Your attorney may suggest including our federal taxpayer identification number, as well.):
- full legal name is Chatham Hall
- address is 800 Chatham Hall Circle,Chatham, VA 24531
- The school is a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, Federal Tax ID No. 54-0505878
Chatham Hall encourages you to think about directing your legacy to a purpose that holds a special meaning for you and advances the mission of the school. For more detailed information about making a bequest to Chatham Hall, designating your bequest to a special purpose, or making a “planned gift” that will provide you with tax advantages and/or an income for life, contact Chatham Hall’s Director of the Office of Advancement Melissa Fountain.
