Gifts In Kind

Chatham Hall welcomes gifts in kind that further its mission and assist in the operation of the School. Examples of gifts in kind include food and service for events, library books, cds and dvds, furniture and rugs for classrooms, common meeting places and living areas, maintenance vehicles, paintings, trees and other plantings. These gifts must be approved for acceptance by the Director of the Office of Advancement.

Chatham Hall will receive gifts of horses that further the goals of the Riding Program. These gifts must be approved by the Director of the Riding Program.

Chatham Hall will provide a letter of acknowledgement describing your gift but cannot assign a value to the gift. We recommend that you consult your tax advisor for valuation advice. Donors seeking tax deductions for gifts valued in excess of $5,000 must obtain an independent appraisal at the time the gift is given to Chatham Hall. The donor is responsible for all costs related to this appraisal.
